On July 5 William and Kate and their two young children, George and Charlotte, stepped out for Charlotte’s christening. Prince George wore an outfit that is nearly identical to one William wore as a child, while Charlotte wore a christening gown that is an exact replica of the original one worn by the royal family for generations that is 174 years old, designed by Andrea Kelly. Kate stunned in a white Alexander McQueen dress coat, while Pippa also opted for white, and looked stunning in an Emilia Wickstead dress. It is the first time William, Kate, and their two children have been photographed altogether. Most of the royal family attended the celebration, which took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk, including Queen Elizabeth ll, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and his wife, although Prince Harry was unable to attend.
Prior to the Christening, Kensington Palace announced Charlotte’s five godparents. They chose William’s cousin, Hon. Laura Fellowes, Kate’s cousin, Adam Middleton, William’s close friends James Meade and Thomas van Straubenzee, as well as Kate’s friend Sophie Carter. Scroll down for photos.
